Description
The Littmann Classic III represents the third generation of the world’s most trusted stethoscope series, engineered for consistent, high-quality auscultation across a broad spectrum of patients. It features a unique stainless steel chestpiece with both an adult and pediatric side. The pediatric side converts into a traditional open bell simply by replacing the single-piece diaphragm with a non-chill rim, offering exceptional versatility without requiring multiple instruments.
A key advancement is the incorporation of a tunable diaphragm on both sides of the chestpiece. This allows clinicians to hear both high- and low-frequency sounds by simply adjusting the pressure applied to the chestpiece—light pressure for low frequencies (bells) and firm pressure for high frequencies (diaphragms). This technology eliminates the need to physically turn the chestpiece, speeding up the assessment process and improving diagnostic efficiency in a busy clinical environment.
Designed for comfort and durability, the 27-inch black tubing is resistant to skin oils, alcohol, and staining, ensuring a longer product life. The headset is ergonomically designed to anatomically fit the ear canal for superior acoustic sealing. As the Classic III is lighter and louder than earlier versions, it remains the standard choice for nurses, medical students, EMTs, and other general practitioners who require dependable acoustic performance for daily monitoring and physical diagnosis
